If I had a band I would write a song similar to this. This song has captured all the right elements of a top shoegaze song, catchy melody, distorted rhythm, jangly riffs, long flying guitar solo, what more could you ask for? Swimming Pools and Movie Stars was the culprit, hailed from the US of A, these guys were one of the unsung heroes of the 2000's nu-gaze movement. I guess shoegazers were left high and dry with the genre's sudden disappearance in the mid-90s which led to its reincarnation in 2000. A dare you find another copy of this 12" for this may be the last of its existence from this low-budgeted band.
